Vicki Nathan
Barrister and Solicitor
Welcome to Nathan Family Law. We are a Lower Hutt based law firm with a strong focus on issues affecting families including domestic violence, care of children, relationship property, conveyancing, wills, divorce. Pretty much anything that life throws at you that may need legal expertise to resolve. I can act for you in many areas where you may find that you need dependable legal advice and services.

Genevieve Greally
Senior Solicitor
Genevieve has been with Nathan Family Law since 2018. She works with clients on a range of family law issues including family violence, parenting, relationship property and Oranga Tamariki matters.
Genevieve grew up in Lower Hutt and attended Victoria University. She was admitted to the bar in 1998 and worked in firms in Wellington, Dublin and London specialising in property and construction law.
Before joining Nathan Family Law Genevieve spent time at home with her four children. She understands the challenges of being a parent in today’s world and enjoys working with clients to find the best way forward for their whanau.
Genevieve is involved in her local community having volunteered at Te Awa Kairangi Community Law Centre and Hutt Valley Women’s Refuge. She currently volunteers for Mother’s Project. Genevieve was a member of the Board of Trustees and PTA at her children’s primary school for 6 years.
In her spare time she can often be found on the sideline of a sports field. She also enjoys spending time in Wellington’s beautiful outdoors.
Selvi Gunawan
Staff Solicitor
Selvi recently joined Nathan Family Law after a long break being a mum of three boys and serving as partner of a diplomat. Selvi was admitted to the bar in 2010 and graduated from Victoria University. She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, then pursued further education in Australia, South Korea and New Zealand. Having travelled the world and raised a family, Selvi understands family dynamics and struggles that they have to go through especially during rough times.
Selvi is working with either legally aided or private clients in matters of Family violence, relationship disputes, and care of children. She believes that everyone is entitled to be represented and the children’s welfare and wellbeing are of utmost importance in cases she deals with. She also focuses on helping clients find agreements outside court where possible. However, if clients have no other options but to go through the court process, Selvi will provide guidance and advice in order to find the best outcome for her clients.
Outside of work, Selvi enjoys running along the Hutt River, weight training and doing outdoor activities during her spare time. She is passionate about raising her family and spending quality time with her boys. Selvi also loves travelling, and learning different languages and cultures.
